So Many Restaurants, One Delicious Month, Zero Guilt About Seconds

July in Coral Gables means one thing: Taste the Gables is here, and your calendar is about to get a lot more delicious. For an entire month, more than 70 local restaurants are rolling out prix fixe lunches and dinners, chef driven specials, and menus built to make you fall in love with a new favorite spot (or five).

Think of it as a culinary scavenger hunt with way better prizes. No stress, no guesswork, just really good food at really good prices, all summer long. Grab your appetite (and maybe a stretchy pair of pants) and let's dig into who's serving up the goods.

450 Gradi

Location: 130 Miracle Mile

450 Gradi brings the fire, literally, with wood fired Neapolitan pizza, hand cut pastas, and a tableside truffle carbonara finished in a giant pecorino wheel that's basically dinner theater. It's Naples by way of Miracle Mile, and it's every bit as romantic as it sounds. During Taste the Gables, expect lunch for $29 and dinner for $60, served Sunday through Thursday.

Arcano

Location: 259 Giralda Ave

Arcano takes Spanish tradition and gives it a Latin remix, think smoked guacamole, squid ink croquetas, and cocktails served in ceramic avocados (yes, really). Between the flamenco nights and the 80 inch patio TVs for game day, Arcano somehow manages to be both a tapas date night spot and your new sports bar. For Taste the Gables: lunch is $30, dinner is $45.

Part restaurant, part time machine, Armstrong Jazz House turns Miracle Mile into a smoky, sultry jazz club every single night of the week. Aromas Del Peru has been dishing out Peruvian comfort food since 2003, and it shows in every plate of ceviche and lomo saltado that comes out of the kitchen. It's the kind of spot where the portions are generous, the pisco sours are strong, and you'll leave already planning your next visit.

Barista Cafe

Barista Cafe is a family run Colombian café that feels like stepping into someone's abuela's kitchen, if abuela also made a killer cortadito. Empanadas, pandebonos, and fresh juices keep the regulars coming back, and the warmth here has nothing to do with the coffee temperature.
