The Buccan family has officially arrived in Coral Gables, and it brought all three of its beloved concepts along for the ride. Chef Clay Conley, the acclaimed Palm Beach chef behind Buccan and Imoto, has taken over a sprawling 10,000-square-foot space at 100 Miracle Mile, housing Buccan, the Buccan Sandwich Shop, and Imoto under one roof with 250 seats across all three concepts. Imoto is the jewel of the group: an intimate, Tokyo-inspired sushi and small plates room with its own entrance on Galiano Street, drawing on Conley's time living and cooking in Japan. If you have ever made the pilgrimage to Palm Beach just to eat here, the wait is finally over.

Zuccaly
Location: 111 Palermo Ave
Downtown Coral Gables is getting its very first Italian food hall, and it is coming from the team behind Zucca, one of the neighborhood's most cherished restaurants. Da Silva Hospitality is bringing Zuccaly to an 8,000-square-foot, 200-seat space at Plaza Coral Gables, featuring six Italian stations, a market, and a full bar anchored by Italian aperitivo classics like Negronis, Americanos, and Spritzes. Corporate chef Manuel Garcia, who brings experience from Michelin-starred kitchens in France, is leading the culinary program. The design leans into a warm Tuscan palette of yellows, earthy oranges, and deep greens, with open ovens and counters at the center of the room. A Monday through Friday two-for-one happy hour is also planned. This is going to be a very good place to be.

Moxies
Location: 93 Miracle Mile
The Canadian restaurant powerhouse known for elevated casual dining is planting its biggest Florida flag yet right on Miracle Mile. Moxies is taking over an 18,800-square-foot, two-story corner space previously occupied by Navarro Discount Pharmacy, bringing its full menu of brunch, lunch, cocktails, and dinner to the heart of Downtown Coral Gables. With successful runs in Brickell, Fort Lauderdale, and West Palm Beach already under its belt, the Coral Gables location is shaping up to be the brand's most ambitious yet. The opening is expected in late 2027, giving us just enough time to get excited.

Mitch's Downtown Bagel Café

New York-style bagels are finally getting their Coral Gables moment. Mitch's Downtown, the beloved elevated bagel shop and deli with a devoted following across Broward County, is opening its fifth location and first ever Miami-Dade restaurant just off Miracle Mile. The New York-born frozen yogurt institution is making its Miracle Mile debut, and it is bringing the full experience with it. 16 Handles operates on a self-serve, sold-by-weight model with 16 rotating flavors spanning frozen yogurt, ice cream, sorbet, and vegan oat milk options, plus more than 50 toppings to customize your cup exactly the way you want it.
