Ready to dance like you're on Broadway? Head to Actor's Playhouse for Broadway Jazz Dance: Adult Summer Class, an open level class led by Broadway performer and choreographer Catherine Hamilton, running Monday, June 29 through Monday, August 3, 2026.
It's a "Hot Broadway Summer" at the Miracle Theatre, with Catherine Hamilton back in Miami to share her New York City moves. After 15 years performing, choreographing, and teaching in NYC, including credits like The Merry Widow at The Metropolitan Opera, Saturday Night Live, and the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, Catherine leads a fun and energetic class combining contemporary, Fosse, and street jazz styles. Each week features a warm up, strength exercises, across the floor progressions, and a new choreographic combination drawn from musicals celebrating freedom, empowerment, and self love.
💃 What to Expect:
· Open level class for ages 18 and older, check in from 7:15 to 7:30 PM, class from 7:30 to 9:00 PM
· A new dance combination each week, set to music from a different Broadway show
· July 13, "My Strongest Suit" from Aida, Prop Night, bring a sweat rag or small towel
· July 20, "Big Spender" from Sweet Charity
· July 27, "One Night in Bangkok" from Chess
· August 3, "Out Tonight" from Rent
· Technique, musicality, and storytelling built through varied choreographic styles
