Celebrate Dominican Culture at Coral Gables Museum
Join the Coral Gables Museum on Saturday, August 15, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. for a free, family-friendly celebration of Dominican Restoration Day and the Smithsonian exhibition Many Voices, One Nation: En Nuestras Palabras.
Experience the rich art, culture, traditions, and heritage of the Dominican Republic through guided exhibition tours, a Dominican flower bouquet workshop, traditional hair braiding demonstrations, folklore dance performances and interactive classes, children’s book readings by Dominican authors, an artisan doll display, Dominican cuisine, and local vendors.
Presented in partnership with FUNDUNIFE, Brat Sisters Hair Braiding, and other Allapattah-based businesses and entrepreneurs, the event brings the vibrant spirit of Little Santo Domingo to Coral Gables. Admission is free and includes access to all exhibitions at the Coral Gables Museum.
